A Call For Diverse Voices: Let's Stand Up, Be Heard! Shape Our World For The Better
This section: 1min Read.
Welcome :)
To start off, I'd like to outline what you can expect from this blog. Think of it as a series. I'll explore how neurodiverse brains and creativity intersect through art and storytelling.
I'll highlight how society can (unknowingly) leave unnecessary emotional scars - and what we can do about it.
You'll embark on an emotional journey with me as I uncover the root cause of a lifetime of misdiagnosis.
I'm going to zero in...on ADHD:
- Unpacking the effects ADHD has on quality of life.
- The damaging effect of untreated ADHD.
- Deep diving into daily challenges.
- Tips and hacks about how to manage ADHD and daily life.
- A glimpse into the emotional battles people with ADHD have.
- Discover the positives of ADHD and champion those who are doing a great job.
- Help raise awareness about acceptance.
- Seek to understand first, rather than fear or judge.
I'm assuming a lot of people have heard of ADHD by now as it's getting a lot of attention on social media recently. You could say, ADHD is famous right now.
Probably because a lot of people are being diagnosed late in life, especially women.
I am one of those women.
ADHD stands for Attention Deficit, Hyperactivity Disorder.
I'm in my early 40's and was recently diagnosed with ADHD. I had absolutely no idea that I had ADHD. I didn't even know what ADHD was to be honest. It was a shock at first and then…it all made sense.
All my little quirks were not so isolated any more. I had a reason. Not an excuse. A reason. As to why the world never really made sense to me. Why I never really felt understood. Why I never seemed to fit in.
Mini Experiments
1min Read.
I spent the last couple of years really figuring out who I am and what works for me. I have found that I can manage my ADHD symptoms by caring for my body, creating the right environment for me and just going with my neurodivergent flow.
I found this flow through art.
Painting is my tool for creative expression. It gives an outlet to those inaudible feelings and helps me make sense of my inner world.
Writing is quite therapeutic too. I feel connected when I create. My mind is quiet. I'm focused.
During this time, I received a lot of support, tips, ideas, hacks from others who have ADHD and I felt compelled to write this series. To share what has worked for me, in the hope you will find it useful.
This blog will be a synthesis of all the research I conducted and the results of many, many mini experiments I did on myself.
Through trial and error, I was able to understand what environment I thrive in. What time of day is best for me for creating. Or exercising. Or consuming info. Or going to bed, etc.
These insights have been invaluable as I am able to create an environment that allows me to thrive despite ADHD.
Use my story as a reference point to help you understand ADHD or unravel your own complexities.
Share it with others in your circle to help them understand you better.
I'm not a medical professional. I found all the information online or experienced it personally. Please reach out to a qualified medical professional for help and support.
Especially if you are worried about yourself or a family member.

AI, Rituals & Tools
I explore how AI has saved my life and how it helps me navigate daily life. How it helps manage my ADHD symptoms and how it's unbelievably helped me to improve my communication skills.
I have never felt such freedom since I started adopting AI into my daily routine.
I have much more confidence and feel with this one tool has changed everything for me.
Global Fusion
We’ll journey through the vibrant world of Global Fusion Art. Reflecting on the urgent need for our societies to embrace diversity.
Division, separation, us against them mentality, are gaining waaaay too much power in our current society.
The old adage divide and conquer springs to mind!
Come with me on a stunning visual journey celebrating our differences. A blend, a fusion, a cohesion, a mishmash - who knows! We'll let our creativity flow and surrender to see where it takes us.
Lets seek to understand first. Let's develop a sense of acceptance and allow people to be free to be who they are. Provided they are not hurting anyone else, obviously!
Global Fusion will bring together diverse voices and minds. With a goal to shape our world's delicate cultural ecosystem.
This project will highlight benefits of unity rather than separation. It may uncover things we never knew...you don't know, what you don't know.
OMG! It's so hard for me to pretend that I'm super cool and collected about this project.
I'm not, I'm actually shaking in my boots with excitement!
The Big Q: Who Am I?
We will explore societal values. How they pressure us to conform and be normal.
We'll unpack our own values and beliefs. Putting them in the spotlight and challenging them. Realising how they control our lives. Ditching what doesn't work for us any more.
It's Liberating!
I’ll introduce you to people who found that their neurodiverse mind is actually their Superpower. Especially when cultivated in the right way for them.
These people embrace diversity. Carving out environments that work for them to harness their talents - allowing them to be successful.
The Power of Art
Deep dive into the Power of Art - All The Arts - not just painting.
We'll uncover how art can connect to your soul in a way that cannot be described in words. It can only be felt. Understood by a deep connection. Spiritual perhaps?
How art has been used a tool for societal change. Touching hearts and changing minds.
How we can use it as a tool to celebrate diversity and inspire inclusiveness.
Understand the transformative power of art through the lens of art therapy and personal expression.
How I manage my ADHD symptoms through art and how you can do the same.
An Emotional Journey
It has been an emotional journey for me to get to this point - to today.
I'll do my utmost to help you to understand inside the mind, body and soul of someone who has suffered from untreated ADHD most of my life.
I'll take you through some of my deepest darkest days. How ADHD emotional outbreaks were disguised as other life events that led to a lifetime of misdiagnosis.
How the pressure to conform has caused an insurmountable amount of emotional pain.
How it cemented my core belief that I wasn't enough.
We'll explore ways of eliminating this awful belief.
And build towards self acceptance.

Visual Storytelling Via Stunning Art...
And lots, lots more…
Accompanied by some stunning, some meditative and definitely some thought provoking art!
Empowered by the core belief that:
Creativity and Acceptance have the Power to Greatly Improve the World.

To our creative adventures ahead.
